This Artbook is the first in a series of nails and perforations books that I generally call my 'Pin prick' pieces. The book's outer shell is covered with small pin head nails and the pages are filled with intricate pin prick work. This work was part of a summer project between 2nd and 3rd year. The book was time consuming and tedious as each page is filled with repetitive pin marks made using a sewing needle. The perforations are systematic and carefully administered yet through this process it is easy to trace my mental state during creation as the exactness of the pin pricks alters as I become tired or restless and towards the end of the book there is clear indication to my impatience with the work. I feel that this work, more than most of my other work reflects my interest in consciousness and altered states.
